Teresa Mills-Clark wrote a sympathy message

“Sherry has been my motivation and inspiration for the past 20 years. In 2000 I took up running to help deal with obesity. One minute at a time then, 10 minutes then 30 and on. Each time something hurt or I thought that I didn't want to go out that day I said to myself, "Sherry would give anything to be on her feet ... this is nothing in comparison" and seeing her in my mind, in her w/chair I continued. Rob and I even lead Learn to Run Clinics and during the week we discussed "Motivation" I always spoke about Sherry. A woman whose positive energy was unparalleled. Now, that I can no longer run (knees and feet) and sometimes even walking, I try not to succumb to moaning about tired legs or the inconvenience of the walk instead of a bus or car, Sherry was always with me ... my internal conversation the same. I can only imagine how much she will be missed by her family and friends in Nanaimo and environs. They will feel such an emptiness. I know that I do. "Sis, I love you." Teresa Mills-Clark”
