She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Boyd Hufty and Emily Kathleen Susan Hufty; her sister Betty-Ann McKenzie; and her son Stephen. She is survived by: her husband James W. Swanson; her children, Katie, Mark (Tracey) and Michael (Naomi); her grandchild Julianna Nielsen; her siblings, Patricia Speirs (Ron), Tom Hufty (Leila) and Harry Hufty (Margaret); and her pet Meg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
