She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Elizabeth Fast; her husband Ben Schmidt; her son David Schmidt; her siblings, Mary Fast, Helen Dahl, Jake Fast, John Fast and Frieda Reger; her children, Harvey Schmidt (Helen) and Janet Gauer (Ralf); and her grandchildren, Kevin Schmidt (Laura), Sharlayne Fox (Steve), Ryan Gauer, Michael Gauer (Stefanie) and Crystal Gauer.
