He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Tiedemann and May Tiedemann; his daughter Lynn Bobyak (Jim); and his siblings, Richard Tiedemann, Bert Tiedemann and Elsie Gray (Bronk).

He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Wenaas; his children, Verna Erickson (Richard), Reg Tiedemann (Luanne) and Byron Tiedemann; and his son-in-law Jim Bobyak. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
