She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothea Valentine Abbott and Dr. Walker Ely Swift; her siblings, Abbott and Elisabeth; and her nieces, Dorothea and Ann.
She is survived by: her niece Deborah Swift Carter; her great-nephews, Caleb Carter (Sachiko), Jacob Carter (Theresa) and Jesse Carter; and also, Maya, Sage, Samuel, Simon and Nico.
