He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon McGilvery and Marie McGilvery (Budd Smith); his grandparents, Peter, Julienne McGilvery, Pierre and Betsy McCarthy; and his sisters, Shawna and Alvina McGilvery.

He is survived by: his children, Cheyanne McGilvery, Peter McGilvery Jr., Ramone McGilvery, Autumn Harper, Madeline Harper, Lynn Harper, Faleshia Harper, Katelyn Harper, Shirley Harper, Jordan Carter, Tanisha Makokis and Adam Makokis; his sisters, Doris Benson and Judy McGilvery; and his half-brother Gordon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
