He is survived by: his mother Judith Jennen; his children, Amanda Alice, Brandon Pitkanen (Carrie), Chase Leer (Diana) and Amanda Irving (Alex); his grandchildren, CJ, Annie and Ronan; his siblings, Shane Leer (Tina) and Tammy Leer (Mike); his nephews, Zach Leer (Karna), Cole Kapak and Quin Kapak; and his niece Kacee Kapak.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ALS Society of Alberta.
