She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Schreiber and Thomas Schreiber; her former husband Jack; and her sons, Maice, Matthew and Mark.

She is survived by: her children, Clark Heimbeckner (Donna), Colleen Peterson (Kevin) and Betty Spence (Allan); her daughter-in-law Bev Heimbeckner; her grandchildren, Trina Zelasek, Ryan Hamilton-Heimbeckner (Brandy), Scott Hamilton-Heimbeckner (Sasha), Chris Upright (Alanna), Brandon Upright, Travis Peterson, Hannah Peterson (Lem Burke) and Matthew Heimbeckner; and her great grandchildren, Jayden Zelasek, Kala Zelasek, Ethan Hamilton and Hudson Burke.

Memorial donations in Katie's name may be made to St. Matthew's Parish, Rocky Mountain House.
