He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Phyllis; his siblings, Monty and Linda; his son Shon; and his granddaughter Kyla Megan Doel.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Susan Rempel (Richard) and Sheryl Skaalerud; his stepsons, Darin Doel (Sara), Shane Doel and Ryan Doel (Nonnie); his grandchildren, Joseph Rempel (Lindsay), Brodie Rempel, Garret Rempel (Kayleigh), Nova Smith (Craig), Shandy Kainola (Tyler), Shelby Skaalerud, Michelle Jamieson (Duncan), Ariann Doel, Rayna, Aiden Doel (Alexa), Makenna Doel (Jeremy) and Christopher Jenson; and his nephew Shane Skaalerud. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
