He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecile Hoar (Smith) and Lyle Hoar; his siblings, Leslie and Jean (Crawford); his wife Elsie Kristensen; his children, Barry (Brenda Huslman), Beth (Donna Sears) and Kristi (Dean Motley); his granddaughter Jessica (Eric Loveseth); his great grandchildren, Willa, Gus, Oscar, Alyssa (Darren Prediger), Clinton (Kelcie Garnick) and Madison (Adam Davison); and also, Braden and Taylor. He was also cherished by extended family and many friends.

Should you wish, donations can be made in memory of Gordon to Ponoka FCSS or Ponoka General Hospital Palliative Care.
