It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thompson (Medicine Hat, Alberta), who passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his stepson Kevin Skovmose. He is survived by: his wife Allyne; and his children, Philip Thompson (Cindy), Kimberley Carter (Peter), Laurie Rubin (Jim) and Darren Skovmose (Laura). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews.
