He was predeceased by : his parents, Andy Johnstone and Leona Johnstone; and his siblings, Max, Pat and Dorothy.
He is survived by : his girlfriend Ruby MacKay; his son Kim Lonsdale (Courtnee); his grandchildren, Hank and Odeya; his son Jordan Lonsdale; his grandchild Alexis; his daughter Shyla Johnstone; his grandchild Knox; his stepson Grant MacKay (Raylene); his siblings, Adam Johnstone (Brenda), Gordon Johnstone (Bonnie), Tom Johnstone (Sharon), Scott Johnstone (Eleanor), Marilyn Blize (Glen) and Kelly Swyripa (Doug); and his brother-in-law Ken Manson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
