She was predeceased by : her husband Nicolas Helewka; her parents, Dmytro Kostiuk and Mary Kostiuk; and her siblings, Fred, Orest, John, Joe Kostiuk and Jenny Bilay.

She is survived by : her sons, Al Helewka (Anna), Steve Helewka (Elaine), Victor Helewka and Dave Helewka (Alison); and her grandchildren, Robert, Richard, Kari, Jordan and Adam. She is also survived by her great grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Nellie may be made to Stollery Children's Hospital, Alzheimer's Society or Lloydminster & District SPCA.
