He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Whittleton and Elizabeth Whittleton; and his granddaughter Adrea. He is survived by: his children, Dawn (Bryan), Aubrey (Angela) and Derek (Michelle); his grandchildren, Jordon (Angela), Shaylene (Terence), Tristan (Brittany), Gage, Ayden, Suri, Kayla (Terence), Mathew and Sydney (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Elise, Serenity, Everly, Xavier, Ava, Maya, Chayden, Jaxon, Hunter and Tucker; his wife Therese of Lloydminster; his siblings, Ada Hale, Mae Hawkins (Wayne Becker) and Elwood Whittleton (Cathy); his siblings-in-law, Madge Smytaniuk, Linda Ethier (Lorenzo) and Art Gervais (Fran); and his nieces, Jackie (Tony) and Maureen "Moe". He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dave's memory to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (11220-83 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7).
