He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Sommerfeld and Salome Sommerfeld; and his brothers, Norman Sommerfeld, Wesley Sommerfeld and Vernon Sommerfeld.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Sommerfeld (Amanda); and his brothers, Eric Sommerfeld and Arnold Sommerfeld (Bev).
