He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chapman and Betty Bexfield; his grandparents, Earl, Margaret, Charles and Nellie; and his brother Richard.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Dean Chapman (Eileen), Candice Steveson and Sherri-Lynn Mitchell (Corey); his grandchildren, Samantha Dingwall (Kent), Christopher Chapman, Spencer Chapman, Koryssa Steveson (Micheal), Sheridan Steveson, Koleman Steveson, Keagen Mitchell (Sarah) and Hailey Mitchell (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Kenzie, Ryder, Paloma Rose, Olympia, Brinley and Paityn; and his siblings, Bonnie Holtby (Grant), Rae Wilson (Jim) and Jack Bexfield (Deb). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
