John Overeem Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Overeem (Lethbridge, Alberta), who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis Overeem and Kaatje Overeem; his parents-in-law, Cornelis and Jannigje Slingerland; his son-in-law Martin Davidson; his sister Johanna Thomassen; and his brothers-in-law, Kees Slingerland, Teun Van Herk, Jake Slingerland, Allen Thomassen and Huib of Kok.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Overeem; his children, Kathy Jakober (Matt), Casey, Jenny Vanden Hoek (Anthony), Joanne Van Driesten (Roy), Corrie Davidson, Cor (Marie), Judy Arends (Art), John (Juanita), Jake (Margaret), Joyce Van Weverwyk (Andre), Marilyn VanderMeer (Jan) and Brenda van Luik (Wout); his sisters-in-law, Jannie of Kok, Fygje Van Herk, Coby Slingerland and Anneke Slingerland; and his brothers, Wim Slingerland (Teuni), Tony Slingerland (Margaret) and Andy Slingerland (Nita). He is also survived by one grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren.
