He was predeceased by: his former wife Marjorie; his brother Elmer; and his parents, Henry and Annie. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Kari (Kevin) and Dion (Deanne); his grandchildren, Steven (Manda), Kyle (Angela), Rebeka (Eric), Leiland, Austin, Emily-Ann and Khloe; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Lily-May and Marley; and his stepchildren, Linda (Ken), Merv and Kathy. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wally's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada or the Alberta Cancer Association.
