“Aloha from Hawaii, I knew Joanne Waterchief in Calgary and we worked together at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary the early 1980s. Joanne wanted to be called Jolene and that is what I called her. She loved Dolly Parton and Jolene. We had a lot of laughs working at the Hospital, even though we were working in a serious job. Joanne was a very quiet person, and when she met Tom Yellowhorn, she could hardly contain herself. We were all so happy for her. I will see you again Jolene!”
