She was predeceased by: her husband William Hees; her sons, Thomas Allen and Gregory Allen; her parents, Walter Smith and Elizabeth Smith; and her siblings, Isla Dargatz, Marion Fankhanel, Lucielle Tiedeman and Wesley Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Bischke (Dean), Ken Allen (Lisa) and Brian Allen (Tanya); and her sisters, June Hodgkinson, Carol Kurchaba, Leona Davies and Shirley McKenzie. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and their spouses, and 5 great grandchildren.
