He was predeceased by: his father Anthony; his brothers, Micheal and Robert; his niece Roberta; and his siblings-in-law, Winnifred Smith, Bill Gregor (Pearl) and Ken Smith.
He is survived by: his aunt Jerry; his wife Shirley; his children, James, Kevin, Darcy and Michele; his children-in-law, Jodi (James) and Ian (Michele); his grandchildren, Kelsey and Zachary; his sister Pearl; his sisters-in-law, Cherry (Robert), Kathy Smith (Ken) and Marilyn (Micheal); his brothers, Eugene (Shirley), Tony (Susan) and David (Arlene); and his brother-in-law Louis Smith (Winnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In February of 2020, Jerry's wife Shirley was admitted into the long-term care facility in Valleyview, and the couple was isolated from each other due to the pandemic.
