He was predeceased by: his precious baby boys, Lucas and Amos; his parents, Albert Desjarlais and Gertrude Desjarlais; and his siblings, Mervin Desjarlais, Glen Desjarlais and Martha Dahl.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Desjarlais of Cold Lake, AB; his sons, Roland Desjarlais of Cold Lake, AB, Mathew Desjarlais of Cold Lake, AB, Troy Desjarlais of Pierceland, SK, Bryan Desjarlais of Pierceland, SK and Kevin Desjarlais of Pierceland, SK; and his siblings, Claude Desjarlais, Norman Desjarlais (Karen), Lyle Desjarlais (Martha), Willard Desjarlais (Rose), Verna Lee and Margie Muir. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
