He was predeceased by: his parents, Croatian and John; his wife Elizabeth; and his siblings, Ann, Tony, Edith, Mary, John, Barbara and Matilda.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Maureen Young; his close friend Maureen Young of Cold Lake; his children, Rhonda Mandev (Petko) of Coquitlam, BC, Lyle (Heather Innes) of Edmonton and Gerald (Collette) of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Ilian, Emily, Ava, Henry, Geena and Neil; his brother Nick Markovich (Ruth) of Spirit River; his sisters-in-law, Reita Markovich and Dorothy Markovich; and his parents-in-law, Peter Wallace (Melbourne), Cas Johnson (Canberra) and Lynn John (Swansea). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
