She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Peeples and Nelly Peeples; her former husbands, George Stephens and William Johnston; and her son Calvin Johnston.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Brouse; her sons, John Stephens (Karen), Glen Stephens (Celine), Alvin Johnston (Debbie) and Ray Johnston (Joanne); and her brother Redford Peeples. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
