With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret (Knowlton) Hopps (Gatineau, Québec), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Margaret may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Knowlton and Catherine Knowlton (Hay); her sister Virginia Price (William Hopps); and her sister-in-law Myrtle Lafond. She is survived by: her children, Billy and Penny (Shawn McCowan); her granddaughters, Lexi-Jade and Jenna; her sister Mary (Jim Lutes); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ward and Hope Schofield.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Margaret's memory.
