He is survived by: his wife Barbara Joy Carlson; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Anna; his daughter Erica Lee; his son-in-law Wayland Lee; his grandchildren, Emily, Michael Schmeckpeper Jr., Katelyn and Desmond Lee; his sister Kayleen Sager; and his niece Jody Sager.
