He is survived by : his children, Cindy Scoggins (Paul), Dan Newton (Becky) and Debi Hidde (Dave); his grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Jared and Lauren (Bobby); and his great grandchildren, Lily, Hunter and Wesley.

A committal service was held on Wednesday, June 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
