She was predeceased by : her parents, Hartwell Green and Maudie Green (Shaw); her husband Harold A. Sears, Jr.; her siblings, Robert Green, Horace Green and Sarah Jane Wheat; her son Larry Sears; and her granddaughter Lynnette Tate.

She is survived by : her daughter Deborah Overstreet (John); her grandchildren, Danielle Hawthorne, Dena Hawthorne, Jaimee Fry, Kayla Medlock (Brandon), Scott Sears (Heather), Jeff Sears (Nora), David Hawthorne, Jr. and Dustin Hawthorne (Katy); her great grandchildren, Kolbi Tate, Hunter Sears, Kyla Sears, Benjamin Sears, Mason Sears, Adessa Sears, Kinsey Hawthorne, Jessica Fry, Jason Fry, Jaxon Fry and Kourtnie Medlock; and her great great grandchild Layton Hawthorne. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
