He was predeceased by : his parents, Elizabeth Jane Prophett and Voss; his wife Sheila Mae Prophett; and his sisters, Patricia Gaumond and Sandra Turner.

He is survived by : his children, Russell'Rusty'Prophett of Brunswick, ME, Joni A. Prophett of North Andover, MA. and Rhonda J. Bohnet of North Andover, MA.; his sister Helen Welcher of Cusseta, AL; his grandchildren, Joshua Doherty, Christopher Querengasser, R. Axl Prophett, Cameron Prophett and McKayla Prophett; his great grandchildren, Jax Doherty, Jade Doherty and Tallulah Prophett; and his godson Brian Boda.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. (35 Merrimack St, North Andover, MA 01845).
