She was predeceased by : her parents, Velma Rachal and Moses Lastie; her stepfather Curley Rachal; her sister Amand Francis; her grandson Lamont Lastie; and her great great grandchild Royale Emmalyn Elizabeth Broussard.

She is survived by : her daughters, Dianne Lastie of Opelousas, LA and Myra Simien (Edward) of Houston, TX; and her aunt Juanita Blackwell.
