He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Smith and Janie Smith; and his siblings, Ronald Smith (Sonny), Wayne Smith, Rodger Smith, Larry Smith and Nelda Myrick.

He is survived by : his wife Vicki Beebe Smith of Sunset; his children, Lori Smith of Azle Texas, Chris Smith (Sabrina) of Grapevine Texas, Matthew Smith (Maree) of Bedford Texas and Rebbekah Watson (Charles) of San Antonio; his siblings, David Smith of Baton Rouge, Lanita Smith of Fayetteville Arkansas and Lanell Tadlock of Lubbock Texas; his grandchildren, Stephen Lopez, Victoria Flores, Michelle Lopez, Christina Bussen, Ashley Smith, Gibson Smith, Andrew Carson, Aiden Waclawczyk and Isaac Watson; and his great grandchildren, Layla Flores, Eden Flores, Murdock Bussen and Dax Scarberry.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel (1473 Interstate 49 South Service Rd, Sunset, LA 70584). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
