In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ivay Lorene had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ivay Lorene may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hebert Robinson and Myrtle Hall Robinson; her husband Robert "Bob" Porter; her siblings, Jean Sanders and Robert "Butch" Robinson; and her son-in-law Mike Makovic.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Porter (Karen), Linda Harris (Jim), Lisa Whitecotton (Paul), Mike Porter (Sharon), Doug Porter and Beth Makovic. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ravinia Park Baptist Church (3015 S B St, Richmond, IN 47374). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
