The memory of David Franklin Banfield of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on May 11, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, James and Lois; his daughter Sandi Bandfield Fulk; and his siblings-in-law, Dwight, James, Sam, Bob, Joe and Mary Ellen.

He is survived by : his uncle Glen; his cousin Jim; his wife Barbara Banfield; his daughters, Sue McKee (Kevin) and Shari Smith (George); his grandchildren, Devlin McKee, Meghan McKee, Crystal Smith and Savannah Smith; his great grandchild Alexander Smith; and his sister Nancy Hudson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Christian Church (1125 W Florian Ave, Mt Zion, IL 62549). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
