With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Claudia Stevens Hicks of Mount Airy, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edd Stevens and Annie Stevens; her husband John William Hicks; her daughter Robin Denise Hicks Owens; her siblings, Joyce Ann Stevens, Vernell Stevens and Edward Stevens; and her pet Stella.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sherrie Hicks Jessup (Mitch) and Tammie Hicks Hattey; her grandchildren, Kalyn Karpenko (Ken), Ryne Jessup (Olivia Edwards), Cody (Baylor Brinkley) and Emily Simmons (Ronnie Thomas); and her great grandchildren, Jack Karpenko, Willow Mae Edwards, Conner Simmons and Ava Simmons.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
